The Last of Us Part 2: Remastered for PS5 – Out January 19, 2024!
The Last of Us Part 2 was released for the PlayStation 4 system in 2020. The game is currently only a little over three years old, but it is already receiving a remastered final version for the PlayStation 5 — The Last of Us Part. II Remastered. This version is available exclusively for the PS5 system and will be released on the 19th. January 2024.
Naughty Dog, developer of the critically acclaimed series, states that the remastered version of the game will include technical improvements, new modes and new “behind the scenes” content. One of the new game modes is the ‘No Return’ mode, a rogue-like survival mode designed to test players in random encounters. In this mode, players can choose between multiple characters, each with unique attributes. As you progress, you can unlock new characters and rewards.
Also, since The Last of Us 2 includes an in-game guitar played by different characters, the remastered version will also include a guitar free play mode. Players can hit different instruments and use audio FX pedals to modulate the performance. This mode allows you to play the guitar in different places in the game with different characters.
PS5 original features coming
Being exclusive to the PS5 system, the remastered version benefits from the original exclusive features such as 4K resolution, faster loading times thanks to the PS5 SSD and DualSense controller integration.
And as the final version, the game will include “Lost Levels” with playable episodes cut from the previous game, complete with developer commentary. The purpose of this addition is to provide players with a better understanding and perspective of the story.
The game retails for $69.99 or Rs 4,999. However, if you own a PS4 copy of the game, you can upgrade to the final version on PS5 for just $10.
